Get your miles in…anywhere in the world

About

What You’ll Find Here

This isn’t another app-based run tracker or a high-traffic trail guide. It’s a curated log of running routes with the detailled notes that you won’t find on Strava heatmaps.

Each post includes:

  • Maps and route details
  • Photos from the run
  • Runner’s notes (safety, surface, vibes, local quirks)
  • Tips

Some of these places are obscure. Some are chaotic. Some are breathtaking.

All of them are best seen on foot.

Why This Exists

I travel and I train for marathons. One day, I found myself waking up near a beach in Mexico looking at my training log, and my coach put “Vacation Miles” for that day. So I asked myself:

“Where the hell am I suppoesd to run here?”

[The seemingly obvious answer to that question is the beach…duh. Not so fast. About a half a mile down from where I was staying, on that very same beach, lived a pack a stray dogs. And not the “let give you some belly rubs and then rescue you type”. No, these were the type that were about to really help you train your VO2 max. Now I know – DON’T go south. Do run NORTH on that beach.]

So now I’m documenting where to run to get your vacation miles in. Whether your Boston-bound, staying in shape while traveling, or like me- someone who has discovered that running through a place in the truly the best way to experience it, this is guide is for you.
